My Review
I admit I waited a while to read this book. Although, I love
this author’s word and how she uses them, I was weary based on the ending of
the Shiver series to invest myself again. The way the author writes transcends storytelling.
She paints a canvas with each sentence like a brush stroke so effortlessly.
Many YA writers today could use a lesson taught by her.
Her imagination also transcends space and time. It’s innovative
and entertaining. Beautifully crafted with a balance of paranormal, fantasy and
romance, which makes you feel like you aren’t lacking in any area.
So why not five stars. Well, only because I guessed at what
seemed like many surprises. But I’m not quite sure she didn’t want the reader
to know early on, so I’ll round up everywhere I cannot give half stars.
I’m trusting this author one more time. And with the
disappointments I’ve had this year, I’m really hoping that she delivers a
stellar ending with no open maws gaps at the series end.
I’d say go ahead and pick this one up.
Audio Review
Will Patton did an awesome job with narration. While I didn’t
know his name, when I heard his voice, I knew the actor.
